PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of uneven development, the decrease in developing density, etc. by installing a scraping member of the developer from the peripheral surface of a magnetic brush carrying body by leaving a minute gap from the peripheral surface of the brush carrying body. CONSTITUTION:A developing scraping member 20 is provided near the developer supply part A for a developing sleeve 2 by leaving a gap from the peripheral surface of the developing sleeve 2 positioned in the direction side of counter arrow (d) with respect to said supply part A. This scraping member 20 has a scraping part 20a opposing to the sleeve 2 by a minute gap G3 and a guide part 20b opposing thereto likewise by leaving a minute gap G2. These two gpas G2, G3 are set approximately equal and are set smaller than the gap G1 between the peripheral surface of the sleeve 2 and the surface of an electrophotographic photosensitive drum 1, for example, at about 1/2. Thereby, the melt-sticking of the developer may be eliminated, and the occurrence of uneven development, the decrease in development density, etc. may consequently be prevented. |
