<p>Parent Patent No.2652001 described a structural element which has an improved heat insulation by air spaces of 4 mm left between the individual panels. The insulation capacity can be further improved by making at least the outer panel itself of insulating material. The pref. addn. is up to 95 wt.% of shredded used tyres. The rest consists of fibres, such as asbestos, wood or textiles, with an adhesive binder. In the case of concrete or gypsum, a max. of 30 wt.% of shredded rubber is recommended. Such panels are easy to cut and to install. They create a useful application for otherwise wasted used tyres.</p> |
