<p>A liq. with a solids content, e.g. municipal sewage or industrial wastes, are dehydrated in an open horizontal tank with a slowly rotating shaft. Parallel discs are attached to the shaft and dip partly into the liq. They carry adhering sludge to the surface where it is dried and removed by a scraper, to be carried away by a screw conveyor. Such a device has a high throughput and effects the sludge dehydration in a limited space.</p> |
