Distance or position measurement circuit noise suppression - using EXCLUSIVE-OR pulse signal combination and edge triggering

The circuit with a pulse generator produces distance or position signals whose noise signals originating from pattern measure disturbance motions are extremely simply suppressed. Movement of the measure results in two oppositely phase shifted equal frequency pulse series. Movements of less than half a measure division are involved. The pulse lengths and intervals of the pulse series are equal or of the same order and are combined in an EXCLUSIVE OR gate to produce a time delayed clock pulse signal. The clock signal drives two flip-flops each also receiving a pulse series signal. Their outputs are combined in another EXCLUSIVE-OR gate to produce the measurement signal via two monostable flip-flops producing counting pulses off the leading and trailing edges.
