<p>A retaining device (12) is for facing elements (1) with a tongue (3,4) on a short side, in external wall cladding, of sheet metal, for a house, factory, or other building. It has a profile shaped to lie horizontally against a wall (13). The retaining device is made of bent sheet metal, of whole or part wall length. On the outside end there is a U-sectioned part (14), to hold both facing elements firmly when the bent part (5) of the top tongue of one below and (6) of the bottom tongue of another above are inserted. They are held horizontally and vertically when their surfaces (2) are aligned in a single vertical plane. This is simple and inexpensive, and provides easy mounting for a completely smooth facade.</p> |
