Encoding keyboard assembly with reduced connections - includes keys with operating lugs engaging grooves of coding bars for closure of contacts

The number of connections of the keyboard to the following stages is reduced and the design is simplified by using coding bars running below the keys. Each key has an actuating lug with chamfer to control the shift of the coding bar for closing a contact. The position and width of grooves in the coding bar are variable so that the engagement of the key lug in the groove may or may not involve the displacement of the coding bar.
