PURPOSE:To control a motor stably, by counting the number of sections to be detected of an encoder and switching power conduction to a stator coil when the count matches with a predetermined count. CONSTITUTION:Power is conducted in predetermined direction through one of two phase coils 2021, 2031. Magnetic pole of stator phase at power conducting side is facing with the magnetic pole of a rotor magnet, and reset signals 131, 132 are provided from an external controller 112 at this time point such that outputs from up/down counters 108, 111 are brought to zero. A positional information signal representing rotor position split into twelve sections with reference to a facing point between the rotor magnetic pole and the stator magnetic pole can be obtained through the operation, while furthermore rotor position can be known based on the outputs from the up/down counters 108, 111 thus enabling switching of power conduction to the coil. Since encoder signals are counted, power conduction timing can be switched accurately. |
