Title compds. (I; R3 = (H,H)or (α-H, β-O acyl); R13 = lower alkyl; R17aβ = H, acyl or lower alkyl; R17aα = H, lower alkyl, ethinyl, 1-propionyl, vinyl, chloroethinyl group), having spasmolytic activity, were prepd. by the reaction of II and grignard compd. or alkali organometal compd. Thus, 1.66 g lithium acetylide-ethylene diamine complex and 2.6 g 13-ethyl-D-homogona-4,16-dien-17-one were reacted at room temp. for 90 min in 50 ml tetrahydrofuran to give 1,8 g 17aα-ethinyl-13-ethyl-17a-hydroxy-D-homogona-4,16-diene.
