<p>The machine includes an integral melting and holding furnace for molten metals; and the furnace can be adjusted vertically, pref. by locating the furnace on an undercarriage or wagon provided with mechanical devices, and where the wagon can also be moved horizontally. The pref. machine includes a furnace which can be lowered sufficiently, and then moved horizontally so its top edge does not hit the casting equipment fitted on the machine. The furnace can be lowered and then moved horizontally to permit easy access, e.g. if the crucible fractures or sludge is to be removed from the molten metal.</p> |
