<p>The adjusting device for a colour tube of a television receiver has a neck portion (1) with a flange (6) which incorporates three surrounding equally spaced anchorage recesses around it. These have their open sides facing towards a glass ring (3) around the conical neck (2) of the tube, and facing a set of blind holes (8) in the ring. Each recess is keyhole shaped so that a round-headed dowel (7) can be inserted in the large dia. end then wedged into the smaller shoulder region. After adjusting the yoke for colour purity and convergence, the dowels are locked, and secured with adhesive. An alternative design has lugs projecting from the neck which fit into slots in the conical part, with packing pieces between.</p> |
