The damping system is intended for an articulated motor coach (1,2) and comprises dampers (4), which are arranged to either side of the longitudinal centre line between the facing ends of the towing (1) and trailing coach section (2) to limit the relative angle between these sections. The dampers, which may be arranged at the front face (41) of the trailing section, consist of a piston-cylinder unit (9,8) whose piston rod (12) carries a stop (6) with a rubber buffer (5). The piston separates a low-pressure chamber (16) at the buffer side from a pressure chamber (13) containing a spring (10) on the other side, the two chambers being connected via a throttle (14).
