PURPOSE:To secure the detection of a transparent body of anisotropy by placing a polarizer on the front face of a photoelectric detector and an analyzer on that of a photodetector and then by arranging the transparent body of anisotropy between the polarizer and analyzer. CONSTITUTION:As for the detection of sheet X1 such as an adhesive cellophane tape, light A emitted by projector Ph is linearly polarized by polarizer A' and in front of photodetector Ph', analyzer A'' provides linear polarization perpendicular to that of polarizer A'. When transparent body X1 of anisotropy is not existing at this time, no light strikes photodetector Ph' through polarization. When sheet X1 of the transparent body of anisotropy or the like is moved between polarizer A' and analyzer A'' with a sheet surface in the state of linear polarization C5, the light is supplied to photodetection surface Ph'. Once this sheet X1 tears, a shielding state is set immediately, so that a tear of sheet X1 is detected. Thus, the transparent body of anisotropy can securely be detected. |
