摘要 PURPOSE:To enable the adjustment at the junction part of the solid state scanning element, by providing a gap of an integer-times as much as the 1-bit reading range of the solid state scanning element outside and secondary scanning range and at nearly the center of the original reading range on the straight line crossing vertically the secondary scanning direction. CONSTITUTION:The original is fixed, and scanner substance 6 consisting of the luminophor and the mirror is shifted to carry out the scanning. Then the light given from the luminophor is image-formed on solid state scanning elements 8-1 and 8-2 each. One scanning range in main scanning direction A on the original is divided into two parts, and the reading ranges of the two solid state scanning elements are overlapped partially to carry out the reading with these reading outputs set in series. And marker 10 is provided on one straight line crossing vertically secondary scanning direction B and outside the secondary scanning range, and then a gap of an integer-times as much as the 1-bit reading range of the solid state element at nearly the center of marker 10. Based on this marker, the adjustment can be given not only to the inclination of elements 8-1 and 8-2 each against the line crossing vertically direction B but to the junction part EF between elements 8-1 and 8-2. Thus the continuous signal can be obtained.
