Cattle feeder with fodder conveyor - has feed through type container suspended directly on tension cable

The cattle feeder has a fodder converger, especially a fodder tube, and a balance with a container to accept a weighed off fodder portion at a position spaced above a stall base. The container is in the form of a feed trough (1) which is suspended directly on a tension cable (12) operated by a drive. There is a backing device (4), by means of which the feed trough can be coupled with the balance (3) in the fodder intake position. It can be uncoupled from the balance for a downwards movement into an eating position for the cattle. A geared electric motor, which operates a capable drum is used as the cable drive.
