发明名称 MATERIAL FOR MAGNETIC ELEMENT
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve properties of a magnetic material for a magnetic device, by selecting elements Ln, A, B of a substance shown by a general formula Ln3-x-y BixCayFe5-y-zAyBzO12, from a group of prescribed elements and by prescribing the composition ranges x, y, z and providing a thin film on a nonmagnetic garnet substrate. CONSTITUTION:Ln in a general formula Ln3-x-yBixCayFe5-y-zAyBzO12 denotes at least one of Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb and Lu. A in the formual denotes at least one of Ge and Si. B in the formula denotes at least one of Al and Ga. The formula is defined as 0.15<=x<0.6, 0.02<=y<=1 and 0<=x<= 0.8. Based upon said constitution, Ca ion and Si ion having larger ion radius and whose absolute value of Faraday rotation is large, is substituted into position 24c of rare earth Garnet, while Ge ion is substituted into position 24d, assuring of operation of high stability and high velocity covering a wide temperatue range, and accordingly, a material for a magnetic device having a large absolute value of Faraday rotation angle is available.
