<p>The steel panel system of shuttering concrete or reinforced concrete walls, beams, slabs etc. during construction is of robust design featuring ease and speed of assembly and employs notched (9) dowels projecting at intervals from panel edges, and engaging mortices formed from 'U' folded sheet steel and locating on mating panel edges. This latter detail applies to the co-aligned junction of panels and utilizes a locking pin. Dowels engage notched sockets in a transverse member of an abutting panel to make 90 deg. junctions and a system of notched transverse tie rods obtains variable spaced connection of parallel panels, i.e. two sides of a wall shutter. Pref. one leg of each mortice forming 'U' embodies an extending strip bearing a transverse skewer or locking pin for engagement of the notch of dowel insert.</p> |
