PURPOSE:To prevent a nozzle hole from vibrating and improve the resolution of images by a method wherein both a tip end portion having a nozzle hole and the rear portion of an electrostrictive vibrator are fixed by a U-shapad support member, in the ink jetter incorporating a cylindrical electrostrictive vibrator. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical electrostrictive vibrator 14 provided with opposite electrodes on its inside and outside peripheral wall surfaces is capped with an insulating member 17 at its tip end portion. A nozzle plate 18 having the nozzle hole 18a is fixed to the tip end of the insulating member 17 by a nozzle holder 19. An elastic member 20 is fitted around the rear portion of the vibrator 14, and the vibrator 14 is fitted on a support member 23 by fitting the elastic member 20 into a hole 23b of a rear plate 23B and fitting the insulating member 17 into a hole 23a of a front plate 23A. Accordingly, even when the electrostrictive vibrator 14 vibrates, the insulating member 17 fixed to the front plate 23A does not vibrate and the nozzle hole 18a is prevented from vibrating in its radial direction. |
