The invention relates to a boarding device for vehicles for easing the entering from the ground 24 to the cabin floor 1. A parallel connecting arm system 10, 11 carries a lifting plate in the form of a tread 15. A compressed air cylinder 20 acting between the vehicle 3, 6 and the connecting arm system 10 lifts the lifting plate 15 with a person standing thereon from a lower position at a convenient rise of step a above the ground level 24 to an upper position at a convenient rise of step b below the level of the cabin floor 1. Simultaneously with the lifting c of the lifting plate 15, the latter is displaced outwards z outside the contour of the vehicle, such that entering the cabin is facilitated. The cylinder 20 is manoeuvred by means of a solenoid valve, the solenoid of which is connected in series with two switches. One of those is manually operable, while the cabin door automatically actuates the other. Hereby, the lifting plate 15 will always take up its lower position, drawn inside of the vehicle contour, when the door is closed, but will be lifted automatically to its upper position when the driver opens the door from inside. <IMAGE> |
