PURPOSE:To detect the rotating position and the speed of the rotor in high accuracy by the detector by mounting magnet segments accurately formed on a disk made of material having high magnetic permeability as a magnetic flux producing pattern and disposing a plurality of magnetic reluctance effect elements on a substrate. CONSTITUTION:The magnet segments 11 formed in sector shape are disposed on the disk 10 made of material having high magnetic permeability, and are adhered thereto with resin or the liKe. A plurality of magnetic reluctance effect elements 4 for detecting the speed of the rotor are accurately formed at respective intervals by a photomechanical process. Spacers 12 are provided thereon to prevent occurrence of unnecessary air stream upon rotation of the rotor and displacement of the segments 11. The spacers 12 are preferably made of material having high magnetic permeability, and formed in the same thickness as the segments 11. In this manner expensive disk-like magnet becomes unnecessary to inexpensively produce the rotor and in high accuracy. |
