MANUFACTURE OF MOTOR COIL

PURPOSE:To increase the plate thickness of a coil and enhance electric loading, by providing numerous juxtaposed slits in a thin electroconductive plate except for both its ends and plastically working both the ends to enlarge the slits to manufactures the coil. CONSTITUTION:To manufacture a coil for a moving-coil motor or the like, numerous slits 2 are provided in a zigzag form corresponding to that of the coil, in a thin copper plate 2 except for both its ends. Both the unslitted ends are then compressed to enlarge the slits 2 to make spaces for insulation. The slitted copper plate is bonded on an insulating plate 3. The sections outside the slits are cut off to separate numerous half coils. Other half coils are bonded on the reverse side of the plate 3 in the same manner. Both the ends of the half coils are connected to each other to complte the coil. According to this method, a plate can be worked and the insulating spaces of the slits can be optionally controlled even if the thickness of the plate is considerable. This results in enhancing electric loading very much.
