PURPOSE:To enable use of the generator having small shorting ratio by separately providing a current source and a voltage source and connecting current transformers of different saturating points as current source in anti-parallel connection. CONSTITUTION:A current transformer aCT connected in anti-parallel with a current transformer CT in respective phases has different saturating points so that the current transformer aCT has lower saturating point than the transformer CT, current transformation ratios different, and the secondary output current is low. The secondary output current phase of this case is inverted at 180 deg. of electric angle, the secondary output currents 6, 7 of the transformers aCT and CT become reverse, and their composite secondary output current 3'' is bent at the saturating point of the transformer aCT, and is then saturated at the saturating point of the transformer CT. The current 3'' is rectified by a rectifier B to become the output of a current source of an exciter EX, and a field ampere-turn from the current source supplied to the field winding FCT is suppressed in the normal operation range, and the generator having small shorting ratio can be used in case of requiring shorting current continuing characteristics. |
