PURPOSE:To exactly and electrically brake an AC motor with a simple means by synchronizing a trigger signal produced from bidirectional controlled element with the current phase to the motor. CONSTITUTION:When a change-over switch 9 is connected to a contact 9B, half- wave DC current for trigger signal being in phase with a current supplied to a motor 3 through a TRIAC 2 is given by a diode 10 to a capacitor 5 and a variable resistor 6. Since the TRIAC 2 is controlled in phase of pulsating AC half-wave phase through a trigger diode 4 by the trigger signal being in phase with the current of the motor 3, a half-wave DC current having a phase difference of 90 deg. with respect to the power supply voltage waveform is applied to the motor 3, which is electrically braked abruptly to stop. Accordingly, it can electrically brake the motor exactly with simple means. |
