<p>PURPOSE:To provide a cleaning agent for the exhaust cylinder of a combustion apparatus, which agent oxidizes CO well even at ordinary temp. and enhances its activity in the presence of moisture on the contrary, by supporting at least Pd on a carrier obtd. by kneading an alkali component, powder activated carbon and a cement material followed by molding. CONSTITUTION:Air warmed with burner 2 in combustion apparatus 1 is spread as warm air 3 into a room, and combustion exhaust gas is forced 4 to be exhausted from the room after being cleaned with catalyst 6 packed in exhaust cylinder 5. Catalyst 6 is obtd. by supporting Pd or Pd and one or more out of Pt, Rh and Ru on a carrier consisting of an alkali component such as K2CO3, powder activated carbon and a cement material such as lime aluminate. This catalyst has thermally stable durability even at 300 deg.C and is hardly affected by poisoning, thus maintaining stable performance.</p> |
