NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula I (R1 and R2 are OH, lower alkoxy, or form methylenedioxy group). EXAMPLE:N-(3-methoxy-4-hydroxy-thiobenzoyl)piperidine. USE:A drug for ulcer having antidigestive action. PROCESS:An aromatic aldehyde shown by the formula II is reacted with piperidine and sulfur at 50-150 deg.C, or an aroamtic carboxylic acid halide shown by the formula III (X is halogen) is reacted with piperidine at -30-50 deg.C to give a compound shown by the formula IV, which is reacted with diphosphorus pentasulfide at 20- 200 deg.C to give a compound shown by the formula I.
