PURPOSE:To prevent the instantaneous occurrence of the image or voice of other stations at the time of channel selection by stopping temporarily the function of the frequency converter circuit. CONSTITUTION:With push of optional one of channel selection switch groups 9, channel selection circuit 5 is actuated to perform the channel selection. At the same time, band switching circuit 7 operates to apply the band switching voltage of the station to be received to frequency converter circuit 8. Also the turning voltage corresponding to the selecting channel is applied to circuit 8 from circuit 5. One unit of pulse is delivered from circuit 5 at the time of channel selection to actuate the muting circuit, and thus the output of circuit 7 is stopped for a fixed pulse period decided at circuit 6. As a result, the operation of circuit 8 is stopped only for a fixed period of the channel selection time, and acordingly the output of circuit 8 has no signal temporarily. The output pulse period of circuit 6 is equivalent to the time during which the turning voltage of the selecting channel is applied correctly to circuit 7, for example, 0.05-0.2 seconds. |
