<p>The vessel is composed of a number of cylindrical sections (2a-g) of different dias. thus allowing them to fit one inside the other. Where the vessel is vertical, the section of the largest dia. can be at the bottom, those of the others decreasing in stages to the topmost one. Where it is horizontal, the central section can be largest, with other section dias. decreasing towards the ends. A reinforcing ring can be fitted inside each section. The vessel can be delivered in the telescoped condition to site, and there it is extended on erection, thus giving max. compactness in transit.</p> |
