The bubble grid has two separate distribution systems (MT1, MT2) having outlet orifices (AÖ1, AÖ2) for the supplied bubbling medium, air (DL) and/or water. Exposure of the two distribution systems (MT1, MT2) to the bubbling medium is not selective but periodic (f) and with temporal phase offset. For this purpose, the feed line includes a switch-over device (U) which supplies the constant inflow of the bubble grid as pulsed flows with different phase positions to the two distribution systems (MT1, MT2). These pulsed flows add up to the constant inflow. The supplied bubbling medium is therefore fully utilised despite the pulsed bubbling, and the two distribution systems (MT1, MT2) which are controlled in a temporally offset manner improve the massaging effect. <IMAGE>
