The solar heating system using a corrugated roof (1) has insulating strips (3) positioned along the crests of the corrugations, and a blackened, perforated sheet (2) is placed on top. Air is sucked through the perforations (4) and into the spacers (5) below, between the corrugations. The heated air can be drawn into a collector duct and used for a suitable process or used in a heat pump to provide hot water. A reflective foil (7) can be applied to the corrugated surface underneath the perforated sheet. There is less heat lost by convection by using this system. The heated air can be drawn upwards past overlapping corrugated sheets to a collector duct at the top.
