<p>A fire resistant lubricant compsn. comprises a liq. mixed isopropylpheryl/pheryl phosphate ester (I) base oil in admixture with 0.01-2.0 wt. % of an amine (II) chosen from phenyl-2-, and phenyl-B-naphthylamine and diphenylamine 0.01-0.1 wt. % benzotriazole (III): and 0.005-0.25 wt. % of a corrosion inhibitor (IV) chosen from oleylsarcosine and a mixed mono - and dialkyl phosphate RH2PO4 and R2HPO4 (where R is 8-12 C alkyl). The lubricant is for gas turbines, esp. those used in naval and other marine use. (I) is stabilised by the other additives to meet normal xoidn, corrosion and rust inhibitory limits.</p> |
