Clip-on key operated switch - has spring collar on key which grips clipped ring around key slot and holds key as required

The key operated electrical switch for lawn-mower motors has a sprung collar grip to hold the key. The insulated switch body (12) houses the switch contacts (30,32) and the connecting contact (26) which is turned by the key (11,15,16,17). The key end (15) fits into a slot in the switch centre (20,27) movement to operate the switch. The key (11) has a sprung collar (16) with a turned in base (44) so that it clips over a lipped (43) ring (41) on the key switch body top. The key remains clipped whether the switch is turned on or off and is manually removable whilst the switch is in either position. The object is to prevent the key falling out.(DS).
