<p>Powder or liquid falls down with gravity from a supplying machine. An impact type flowmeter has an impact plate (2) on which the powder or liquid is received. The impact type flowmeter converts the impact load applied on the impact plate (2) into a horizontal displacement. Two sets of nozzle flapper mechanisms which incorporate flaps (6, 6") symmetrically disposed at predetermined oblique angle with respect to the direction of the displacement. The back pressure applied to the nozzle flaps is imparted to a pneumatic circuit-switching valve (8) which produces its output to control the gate opening or motor speed of the supplying machine to thereby control the flow rate of the powder or liquid. Thus, this device can supply the powder or liquid at constant flow rate with a high accuracy, because of being isolated from the variation in the supplying pressure to the nozzle flapper mechanisms. </p> |
