The fuel-supply system is for a mixture-compressing spark-ignition four-stroke piston engine with stratified charge. The major part of the charge is delivered as a weak mixture to the main combustion chamber, while the remaining richer part is produced by injection into an auxiliary chamber equipped with a sparking plug and connected to the main one. During a working cycle, the fuel is delivered to the auxiliary chamber (8) is divided into two or more portions, these typically being spaced apart during a revolution of the crankshaft.
