Burner fuel oil preheater comprises an energised cold conductor thermally connected to the burner supply line. A plate cold conductor (14) is let into the burner nozzle pipe where the fuel oil line forms a shallow channel (16) in contact with one flat of the plate. It is possible to have two channels, straddling the conductor plate or vice versa. The channels should be metal rounded edge tubes electrically connected to the cold conductors (14) and supplying these with their energising current and brazed to the nozzle pipe and coated on the sides with conductors (18), insulated from the tubes by a low thermal resistance layer (20).
