PURPOSE:To make it possible to improve detection capability of weak signals such as a display bearing precision, by giving and displaying amplitude information only to the peak bearing or the peak frequency dependent upon an interpolation-processed sonar signal to display the sonar signal. CONSTITUTION:The detection signal dependent upon sonar unit 1 is subjected to interpolation processing by interpolating equipment 2, and the peak bearing is detected by peak detector 4. This detection signal is applied to amplitude detector 5 to which signals from unit 1 and interpolating equipment 2 are applied, and amplitude information is given only to the peak bearing, and bearing display of the target dependent upon display unit 3 is performed. Consequently, the bearing precision of the interpolating equipment is not lowered, and the read precision is held also, so that the bearing read precision can be improved, and detection capability of weak signals can be improved by emphasis of the peak bearing. The similar effect can be obtained in respect to line spectrum frequency detection of the target. |
