PURPOSE:To express a creative image just as being drawn by a skilled hand without depending on the experience or intuition of an operator by preventing the high frequency component of an original image from being processed. CONSTITUTION:Picture data by an image pickup signal area AD-converted and fetched into an image processing part 3. In the image processing part 3, an image memory is prepared to store high frequency position data, besides the image memory to store the original image, and for a high frequency position, the original image is remained as it is. Then, a low frequency component is painted out by a color, which is automatically prepared, or a preferable color to be selected in advance and stored in a memory. Thus, the low frequency part of the skin part of a face is painted out, however, the peripheral part of eyes and hairs is finely reproduced. Then, a portrait can be prepared just as being drawn on a paper by a skilled illustrator. A result is outputted by an output part 4 of a color video printer, etc., as a hard copy. |
