PURPOSE:To obtain the titled printer wherein an ink ribbon is not employed, capable of supplying an adequate volume of ink, furnishing a printing of excent quality and possessing a simple structure by supplying ink to an ink immersing member through the intermittent driving of a pulsatory pump. CONSTITUTION:The ink being fed out by a pulsatory pump is impregnated by an ink immersing member 10 through an ink feed pipe 11, making the surface of a wire 2 in a wet condition. Then, the ink moves through the space between a wire 2 and a wire guide 3 by a capillary action, and attaches at the tip of the wire. The wire 2 flies by selectively exciting an electromagnet piece 9, and performs printing by striking at a printing paper 20. After printing, the wire 2 returns to its original position, absorbing an ink at its tip and repeats the printing action. When a printing for a single line is finished, the printing paper is fed forward by the rotation of a roller shaft 18, a pulsatory pump 14 starts actuation at the same time, feeding ink of an appropriate amount to the ink immersing member 10, and the apparatus is readied for the printing on the next line. |
