PURPOSE:To prevent the disruption of the coil-end portions in a simple manner by impregnating the low-viscosity varnish into the end portions and side portions of the coils wound around a core and applying high-viscosity varnish on the outer surface of the end portions. CONSTITUTION:A winding wire 4 which is wound around the core 2 of a stator 1 and an insulator 5 are preliminarily dried and moisture in said winding and insulator is removed. Then, the low viscosity varnish of nonsaturable polyester series and the like dropped to coil-end portions 4b of the winding wire 4 from a varnish processing device 7. At the same time, the entire stator 1 is rotated slowly by a rotating device 9, thereby the varnish 8 is applied all over the coil-end portions 4b by capillary-tube phenomenon. Furthermore, the high-viscosity varnish of the same series as mentioned above is dropped on the coil-end portions 4b from the device 7 with the entire stator 1 being rotated at the low speed so that the thickness of 0.1- 1mm. of the varnish is deposited on approximately all the outer surface. In this simple method, the disruption of the coil-end portions can be prevented. |
