PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of vector index generation by providing a vector generation index instruction which has a register assignment part indicating a register stored with deviation values and a transfer-destination assignment part indicating the transfer destination of an arithmetic result. CONSTITUTION:In register 2-1, deviation value (b) is set and in register 8, vector length VL is also set. In accordance with the contents of register assignment part R2 of VGI instruction, 1 register 2-1 is assigned and value (b) is input from selector 3 to multiplier 4. In accordance with the contents of transfer-destination assignment part R1 of instruction 1, initial address 0 of memory 7 is assigned. Multiplier 4 stores multiplication results of X0, bX1... at addresses 0, 1... of memory 7 as the contents of counter 9 advances. When the contents of counter 9 reach vector length VL, comparator 11 generates an indentity output to stop the arithmetic of multiplier 4 and vector index of the result can be obtained in memory 7. |
