The system comprises a flexible and impermeable container made of plastic (1), at the bottom of which are located perforated plastic drainage pipes (2) for the removal of excess water, and which are connected to a collector. Irrigation sleeves (3) made of porous plastic are also located at the bottom of the container, and are filled with water under constant pressure. Both types of pipe are covered with a certain depth of sand which serves as a rooting medium for the plants, and which varies with the crop grown. |
