PURPOSE: To obtain the subject woven or knit fabric both soft and good in water-resistance by forming a polyurethane film with a specific thickness on a woven or knit fabric of synthetic fiber with convexo-concave patterns. CONSTITUTION: This thin woven or knit fabric soft in feeling of touch and good in hydraulic pressure resistance is obtained by forming convexo-concave patterns on one surface of woven or knit fabric of synthetic fiber esp. polyester- based fiber via embossing finish using an embossing roll and by laminating a uniform polyurethane resin, pref. modified by polyamino acid, with a thickness of 25 to 50μm on the embossed surface.
