PURPOSE:To enable stable aupply of ink to a multinozzle-type head by unifying ink feeding sources to a plurality of ink chambers in an ink feeding system of a multinozzle-type ink jet recording device. CONSTITUTION:When an ink chamber 202 is pressurized by a pressure pump 207 through the opening of valves 212 and 213, a check valve 205 attached to a communicating pipe 204 is closed and ink is filled up in the multinozzle head 233 through an ink conduit orifice 210, a through orifice 216, a conducit groove 218, a through orifice 222, a conduit orifice 225, a relay chamber 227, a joint 229 and a pipe 231 and further in an ink chamber 203 through a pipe 232, a relay chamber 228, a conduit orifice 226, etc. When pressurization is stopped, the check valve 205 is opened, the ink chambers 202 and 203 are communicated with each other, and thereby the level of ink is made equal. When the ink is discharged from the head 233 under the condition, it is fed afresh from the ink chambers 202 and 203 to the head 233 through two channels with a capillary force. Supply of ink is conducted from a supply tank 234 to the ink chamber 203 at a fixed level by means of an injection unit 235. |
