PURPOSE:To enable the improvement of a detection processing capacity, by a method wherein dummy pipes are placed at opposite ends of a pipe to be tested, and a detecting mechanism part, a centripetal roller mechanism, and a rotary drive mechanism are monolithically mounted via a treble pipe structure to form a flaw finding head part. CONSTITUTION:A pipe 1 to be tested and dummy pipes 2, 2' are supported by a stand 8, and the dummy pipe 2' can move as shown in an arrow mark (a) to the movement of a cylinder 10. Through rotation of a drum 13, a truck 3 is caused to run to the right, and after a defecting finding head part d is rapidly carried to the position of the dummy pipe 2' in front thereof, a drive motor 19 is turned, and simultaneously, the drum 13 is reversed to move the truck 3 backward at a low speed. The rotation of the motor 19 is transferred to a probe holder 20 of a detecting mechanism part A via a rotary cylinder 6, and this causes turning of a probe 23 at high speed to start to perform a spiral scanning of flaw in an internal surface of a pipe. |
