<p>The leno unit, to bond the selvage to the fabric on a weft bobbinless loom, is a frame construction in two parts moving against each other, fixed directly to one shaft corresponding with a second shaft. One part of th- construction has two plastic pieces (1,2)and the sliding rods (5) and, within the construction, the upper slide (9) with the needles (10), the needle clamping plate (11) and the lower slide (12) with the rotating segments (13,14) on the shaft (15), with the yarn guide clip (19,21) and yarn limit clip (20) with three guide eyelets each, together with the pivoting lever (18) to control the segments (13,14) over the draw lever (16,17). The second section of the frame construction is as an accessory using plastic sections (3,4) linking rails (6) and clamps (7) which, through the rods (8) links the section with the first shaft. The system forms a permanent selvage on the fabric, bonding the wefts in place, using linen-forming shafts, with a low-wear action and minimum yarn usage.</p> |
