<p>Automatic lorry loader conveys caged poultry, from the chicken-run to the lorry on one or two rails supported by common jibs. The cages are pushed by a motorised carriage or pulled by a cable driven by a motor positioned at the front or rear of the lorry. The cages lie in tiers on the lorry and pref. have an entrance on their upper edge and an exit on the sides for discharging the birds on arrival at the abattoir. Pref. the cages are mounted on pairs of rollers which run on the rails.</p> |
