PURPOSE:To reduce the chromate treatment suspension time by reproduction of chromate liquid through oxidization with addition of oxidizing agent to the deteriorated chromate liquid withdrawn from the chromate tank in a specified amount with respect to the content of 3 valent Cr therein and the liquid is heated and agitated. CONSTITUTION:When the deterioration raises the level of 3 valent chromium of the chromate liquid in a chromate tank 1, the liquid is transferred with a pump 7 to a reproduction tank 2. In the tank 2, an oxidizing agent such as KMnO4, CeSO4 or the like is added to the deteriorated chromate liquid at a ratio of 0.7-1.0 by weight, while the air is jetted from an air jetting device 14, the mixture is heated with a heater 11 being agitated by an agitator to perform oxidation. Along with the transferring of the deteriorated chromate liquid to the tank 2, the chromate liquid produced from the storage tank 3 is transferred to the tank 1. This reduces the time of chromate suspension time thereby improving the working efficiency. |
