PURPOSE:To permit the use of materials to be heated, having different sizes, in two-row charge by arranging two sets of moving bases in such a way that the fixed ratchet of a main moving base is in the face of the vertically movable ratchet of an auxiliary moving base when the vertically movable ratchet comes down. CONSTITUTION:In case where materials 3 and 4 to be heated, having different lengths, are charged in two rows, vertically movable ratchets 27 and 40 are brought down, and between main moving bases 16 and 37 and auxiliary moving bases 18 and 38 are, respectively, disconnected. Then, the materials 3 and 4 to be heated are situated beneath the upper beam 15 and oil-pressure cylinders 47 and 48 are driven toward the incoming direction of rods, whereupon the main and auxiliary moving bases 37 and 18 are moved by equal distances in mutually opposite directions by the action of the cylinder 47 and the material 4 to be heated are centered around a central line 52 by a fixed ratchet 39 and the vertically movable ratchet 27. In the same way, the main and auxiliary moving bases 16 and 38 are moved by equal distances in mutually opposite directions by the oil-pressure cylinder 48 and the materials 3 to be heated are centered around a central line 52 by the fixed ratchet 26 and the vertically movable ratchet 40. |
