Annular joint for pipe connection - applicable to connections for high pressure pipes and pressure detector capable of supporting high pressures encountered in bore-holes

An annular elastic joint has a tubular end designed to be housed in an annular housing of a pipe connection and a slit communicating with the interior of the connection and of the pipe. The two lips of the slit are applied sepd. against the wall of the housing. Its other end also includes a slit communicating with the inner space of the connection and of the pipe, and the joint has a central tubular ring between its two ends. The joint is simpler than existing joints of its kind, e.g. as described in French patent 2237110. It can be applied to connections for high press. pipes, and to press. detectors capable of supporting the great pressures that can be encountered e.g. in bore-holes.
