<p>The hinge between a seat and back rest, esp. in a motor vehicle, enables the back rest to be moved forward while keeping it at the same angle. A fitment on the back rest and seat are joined at a pivot axle, with a toothed wheel gearing, which can be locked together in at least two positions by means of a lock. The lock has a first (7,8,9,10) and second (16) locking piece; the first on the cog wheel (4), and the second formed by a catch (16) locking piece; the first on the cog wheel (4), and the second formed by a catch (16) pivot mounted on the underneath fitment, and by a lug (15) on the top fitment. Both locking pieces have one operating piece (14).</p> |
