The apparatus permits fixing of the driver's seat (3, 4) by releasable blocking means (6) in a position which prevents sitting at the steering wheel (2) in such a way that it is impossible for unauthorised persons to occupy the seat (4) behind the steering wheel (2). Actuation of the steering wheel (2) can also be prevented by releasable blocking (13).
