PURPOSE:To provide a printer which simplifies a constitution of a temperature controller and reduces the number of connecting processes, by constituting the printer such that temperature of a printing head is detected through detection of resistance values of a plurality of exciting coils in the printing head, and exciting coils are controlled based on the detected temperature. CONSTITUTION:A parallel value of each exciting coil in an exciting coil group is considered as temperature of a printing head part 1, and a resistance value detecting processing part 7 for converting and processing a voltage is mounted. By means of a voltage applied from the resistance value detecting processing part 7, the exciting coil group 2 is controlled by a controller 8, and in case the exciting coil group heats to the extent that a heat of higher than a set temperature is applied to the printing head part 1, the printing motion of the printing head can be controlled, for example, the printing motion is brought to a stop. |
